NEW YORK TIMES AND USA TODAY BEST SELLING AUTHOR TONI ALEO PRESENTS THE NEXT INSTALLMENT IN THE ASSASSINS SERIES…

LACES AND LACE

Nine years ago, things were perfect. Lacey and Karson had found their happily ever after in each other…or so they thought. How do two people who were meant to be move on from that once-in-a-lifetime love?

Lacey has a strength inside her that comes alive with the things she’s most passionate about. She’s a fighter, a survivor, and has everything she’s ever wanted but the one thing that matters most—love.

Karson is doing the one thing he loves most—playing hockey for the Assassins, yet he knows regret. He knows his life has been missing the one thing he walked away from so many years ago—Lacey.

Nine years later, and neither has been able to succeed in moving on from what was, what could have been, and who each of their hearts still beats for. When a chance encounter during a fateful night has their paths crossing again, will the tether still attaching their souls allow them to face the past, present, and a possible future?

Can two people with fate on their side find a way back to each other? Overcome all the obstacles in their way to finally live life together to the fullest?

Or will they let those around them and the circumstances they face, along with questions and doubt, ruin a second chance at the life they both deserve?

Laces and Lace includes the prequel Tangled in the Laces, a dollar of your purchase will be donated to the Nashville Predators Foundation.

AMBER’S 5+ STAR REVIEW
This book! Y’all just…I have been trying to figure out how to express how this one made me feel for over a week now and I’m just not sure there are words adequate. Toni Aleo has done it again and written the most exquisite story with LACES AND LACE. I am so glad that she is including the novella prequel TANGLED IN THE LACES with this because seriously when I read it it totally ripped me apart with the ending and then I had to wait! But now y’all can read this first and totally get the full picture. But man it sure made me love Karson and Lacey and their journey so much more!
The prequel was so emotional but as is Toni’s way, completely beautifully told! But seriously y’all I’m sure I say this every time but Toni just gets better with each book in this series!! LACES AND LACE is so emotional!! It’s a total second chance romance (which I love) and these two characters have crazy good chemistry! Even after NINE YEARS apart both Lacey and Karson have never stopped loving each other and when they find themselves in the same cab– I mean how crazy is that and totally a FATE thing- well to say sparks flew would be an understatement! It was almost palpable as they stared at each other and then Karson does what he always said he would – he lays the biggest kiss on Lacey and reclaims his girl!!
Karson and Lacey have moved on with their lives. They’ve reached the goals they dreamed together in TANGLED, but neither of them has found the happiness they knew with each other. Their reconnection is swift and full of fantasy and so much emotion!
But then the reality of the world and Lacey’s twisted family and her control crazy father (really I think I hate Nate Martin more than any other villain that Toni has created) come crashing at them. Karson and Lacey have to fight to make their dreams of a life together not fall apart. This is where the real drama comes in the story and it’s such a roller-coaster at times!

Lacey has plenty of baggage from her past. She is so strong and self-assured on the outside, but has so many doubts on the inside. Between the doubts that the cancer created when she survived that battle as a young woman to the doubts created by her over-protective family, sometimes I wanted to yell at her! But then I just wanted to hug her and encourage her kinda like what Karson does for her and a lot like what Elli (I just love Elli and Shea!) does as she tries to forge a friendship and bring her into the Assassins fold. It’s these times that you see that while Lacey has friends, she is really so alone and isolated that it is hard for her to forge this new life in Nashville.
And then there is Karson. I love this man so much!! He reminds me a lot of Shea, which was one of the other things I loved about LACES; there is a lot of Shea and Elli in this story as they really embrace Karson and Lacey. Karson has found his family in the Assassins, he feels a part of something good and reconnecting with Lacey just makes his life complete. Karson knows what he wants and as he and Lacey begin to build that life, he will do whatever it takes to accomplish this!
I laughed. I cried. I yelled. I cheered. I cried some more. LACES AND LACE is a book full of emotion. It’s a book full of amazing chemistry. It’s a book full of twisty drama and emotional upheaval. But it is also a book full of hope and remembering that true love can endure and conquer all! Thank you Toni Aleo for again creating another amazing Assassins story and I can’t wait for more!!
