Happy Release Day Kimberly Kincaid!! We are so excited to share the newest Pine Mountain book with you all today!! Hope that you all checked out our feature last night of the previous three books in this wonderful series. If not make sure you check it out! I really have enjoyed each and every one of these books, but I’ll admit I’ve been anxious for this one because Adrian has been tripping my curiosity trigger for a couple of books now!! Trust me when I say that Kimberly Kincaid knows how to write a fabulous series! Happy Reading!! ~ Amber
If You Can’t Stand The Heat…
Teagan O’Malley can handle a crisis. She’s a paramedic, it’s her job. But she never expected to land in the kitchen of her father’s pub, with no notice, no cash, and no room for error. The kitchen is not her favorite place. Lucky for her, she just scraped a bad-boy chef off the pavement after a motorcycle accident—and something about him says he can turn up the heat in more ways than one.
Adrian Holt has had a rough few years, and he’s not eager to get tangled up in anything more complicated than a good risotto. But with a broken arm and a head full of bad memories, he needs a challenge to keep him sane. Teagan’s dare-me attitude and smoldering mess of a bar are just what the doctor ordered. And the two of them together might cook up some even better medicine…
Teagan and Adrian. Adrian and Teagan. Somehow when these two first crossed paths in Gimme Some Sugar I knew that they wasn’t the last they would see of each other! Boy was I glad I was right, because Kimberly Kincaid outdid herself in this installment of the Pine Mountain series!!
Adrian Holt is focused on one thing – keep his head down, his food good and make it to the end of his parole period without any distractions. He misses a few important points in that he needs to take care of himself and he needs to live his life as he promised his Nonna “with no regrets”. These things start to crash into him (literally) after he gets into an accident, wrecking his motorcycle and breaking his arm. Carly forces him to take a leave from the kitchen since he can’t cook and Adrian finds himself without the one place that helps him make sense of his world.
Teagan O’Malley is a lot like Adrian in the respect that she is focused on one thing – taking care of everyone else around her. Teagan is a paramedic in Pine Mountain and when she’s not on shift she’s working at the Double Shot, her father’s bar and grill. Teagan has been running on fumes lately as she is trying desperately to keep her father healthy and the bar running. When her father falls ill and she realizes that he’s been keeping more than just his health issues from her, Teagan isn’t sure she can keep it all going.
When Teagan puts Adrian in his place after his accident, Adrian is fairly certain he’s never met a woman quite like her before. Probably why he kisses her silly, but it’s later that night when the two begin find out how they can benefit the other. Teagan needs help knowing how to run the bar’s kitchen, Adrian needs a kitchen to feel sane and they both need to be around the other. What ensues is a lot of amazing chemistry, more steamy encounters than the steam coming off the grill and two people who find that being with each other makes more sense than anything they ever knew to be true.
This pair are hands down my favorite couple of this series for so many reasons! Do they make each other crazy? Yes. Are they crazy hot both for each other and with each other? Oh absolutely! Do they show the other that it’s ok to be taken care of by someone else and that it feels really incredible to let someone else in? Sigh….that’s an affirmative as well. But what I really loved was that the both of them took chances for the other. They both learned that living without regrets can be scary as hell but oh so worth it in the end! Kimberly Kincaid has knocked this one out of the park! And I can’t wait til my next visit to Pine Mountain!
Kimberly Kincaid writes contemporary romance that splits the difference between sexy and sweet. When she’s not sitting cross-legged in an ancient desk chair known as “The Pleather Bomber”, she can be found practicing obscene amounts of yoga, whipping up anything from enchiladas to éclairs in her kitchen, or curled up with her nose in a book. Kimberly is a 2011 RWA Golden Heart® finalist who lives (and writes!) by the mantra that food is love. Kimberly resides in northern Virginia with her wildly patient husband and their three daughters.
