Big Game: A Hunted Love #1

Synopsis:
When a legendary predator decides prize horses should be on his menu, Kate takes the advice of her neighbor ranchers and hires a big game hunter to track the mountain lion and remove the threat. The hunter arrives to take up the trail, but instead of the seasoned older man she expects, he’s young and impossibly sexy.

Freshly back from deployment to Afghanistan as a special forces operative, Jakob needs to clear his head of the horrors of war. When his uncle is dies, Jakob steps in to fulfill the older man’s commitment to hunt down a mountain lion on the other side of the state. The prospect of several days in the wilderness with only his horses and dogs for company sounds like the ideal opportunity. Except the infuriating female rancher insists on going along for the ride.

Well, what a fun quick read! I really enjoyed this quick story about Kate and Jakob, and I quickly fell for these characters.

Kate is trying to find a hunter to deal with a mountain lion going after her horses and Jakob has just returned from Afghanistan and trying to figure out what he is going to do next. The hunt seems like the perfect opportunity for him to sort through things.

These two are adorable together, right from the beginning! Kate is a bit stubborn and independent and insists on accompanying Jakob on the hunt. These two have wonderful chemistry together and I loved watching something blossom between them.

I was a little nervous when I started because I know very little about horses but I quickly fell for the characters and their banter and became hooked on the story. I definitely can’t wait to see what else is in store for this couple!

Bounty: Hunted Love #2

Synopsis:
Bounty hunter, Falon Harris is asked to go after outlaw biker Tom Kellen and tracks him to where he’s hiding out in Stags Leap, KY, laying low and waiting for the heat to pass. Rita James operates a busy tavern/grill and occasionally rents out the little camper trailer on her back lot. Figuring the tavern is the most logical place to watch for Kellen, Falon rents the trailer for a week. The first night, while he’s having dinner and watching everything, Kellen shows up and starts giving Rita a hard time. The bartender puts a stop to it, but Falon gets the idea it’s happened before. Knowing Kellen’s past, he knows the biker won’t take no for an answer for long.

I was excited to read more of the Hunted Love series and the book definitely didn’t disappoint! I loved the story line and set-up of Bounty.

Falon Harris is a bounty hunter searching for a nasty bad-guy biker, known as Kellan. His search brings him to a small town where he meets tavern owner Rita. As with the first book, there is instant chemistry between the two but this story is a bit more complicated. Falon has to figure out how he’s going to get Kellan, especially since he’s the national president of a pretty scary MC.

As Rita and Falon try to figure out what is happening between them, Falon finds himself opening up to her and finally revealing the true nature as to why he is in her little town. Just as they are getting comfortable together they discover that there is some serious shit brewing and Kellan is assigned a new job, taking out our good friend Jakob, who happens to be Falon’s friend too!

I couldn’t put this one down once I started and seriously cannot wait for the next book. I absolutely have to know what happens with this group! And I definitely can’t wait to see Falon and Jakob together!

The Hunted Love books are a fun and intriguing series and I can’t wait for more.

  1. This sounds like an easy series to get lost in. You did an excellent job with this review tour, and it was neat to see the flow from the first to the second book. That’s definitely the best way to do a series review! Extra points for not cluttering it up with long excerpts. I’ve been seeing that around today. This was really organized.

    Happy Reading! xoxo
