New Review & Giveaway: Wait For Morning by Nicole Edwards

Welcome to Sniper 1 Security.  Wait for Morning is the first in a new series called Sniper 1 Security. This series

will focus around two families that are in the private security business. This

book is different for Nicole as it’s the first for her in the romantic

suspense genre. For readers, they will find the normal Nicole Edwards style of

writing, with a nice mixture of excitement, suspense and her erotic touches

where needed. For the die-hard Nicole Edwards fans, they will see a bit less of

the erotic, but when it’s present it will set your e-reader on fire!

Trace Kogan will go to any length to protect those who need protecting. That is the business he is in; the business his father, Casper Kogan, started with Bryce Trexler more than thirty-five years ago. Trace spends day and night eliminating threats to clients, so when the danger hits too close to home, he won’t let anything come between him and the woman who desperately needs his help.

His fear… the physical reaction he has to Marissa may pose a bigger danger than the ghost that they find themselves up against.

Marissa Trexler has spent the last twelve months of her life in hiding, tucked away in one safe house after another for her own protection. The threat to her is real even if the reason is still unknown. Strangely, whoever is after her seems to find her no matter where she goes, leading her family to believe it’s an inside job.

So when the decision is made that Trace will provide personal protection, she can’t say no, even if being close to him adds another level of danger… and this one is to her heart.

4 Stars

I’m a big fan of Nicole Edwards and was definitely looking forward to Wait for Morning. This book is a little different than her usual books, this was more suspense and mystery, although there is definitely the romance angle as well, and I really enjoyed it!

Wait for Morning mainly centers around two families, the Kogans and the Trexlers, who have created a security company, Sniper 1 Security, together that employs most of the family members. These families are very close and have an incredibly strong bond; they’ve raised their children together and now all work together. Well, almost all of them.

Marissa Trexler decided she didn’t want to work in the security business, so she works as a reporter/political blogger instead. And it’s that line of work that has gotten her into some trouble, and why she’s now being hidden away in safe houses. She’s discovered something she shouldn’t have.

Trace Kogan has appointed himself Marissa’s security, it’s his mission to keep her safe. He’s determined to save her life as well as figure out who exactly is after her and why. I should mention that he does all this while being ridiculously smexy HOT!

There is a chemistry between Trace and Marissa that they’ve both been denying since they were teenagers, but it’s truly undeniable! These two are just drawn to each other. I so loved that aspect of this book, the push and pull between them despite the dangerous situation they are caught in.

There were a lot of twists and turns in this story and I loved the suspense that was created. There were many times when I was unable to put the book down, needing to know what was going to happen next. There are a lot of characters and a lot going on!

Wait for Morning was told through multiple character points of view and I LOVED the dynamic it created. I thought it added so much dimension to the story seeing it through not just Trace or Marissa’s POV but some of the brothers’, Z, Trace’s friend, and even the bad guys. I loved turning the page to see who I was hearing from next.

I want to make sure that I don’t give any part of the story away, but I would definitely recommend this book for a good suspenseful, who-done-it read with some smexy times thrown in. Nicole Edwards definitely kept me guessing with this one. She has created such a great group of characters that I can’t wait to get to know better, yes I can’t wait for more and am so excited to see who’s next! Wait for Morning is a great start to a new series that I will definitely be following!
