Happy 4th of July Weekend, I hope it’s full of fun celebrations. Earlier this week I got to share in the blog tour for Into the Nothing by BT Urruela and now I’m excited to share my 5 star review with you! I absolutely loved this book and hope you’ll check it out!
Title: Into the Nothing
Series: Broken Outlaw #1
Author: BT Urruela
Release Date: June 21, 2016
Xander Evans has been on the road for many years. Never settling. Always moving from one place to another, unable to let go of his past. He lived a tragic childhood, spending most of those years in foster care. He’s never felt like he’s had a home. That is until he stops in the small town of Truman Valley, Missouri, where he meets a woman who will change everything he’s ever known.
Paige Watson has it all. A loving family, beautiful home, and a great career. The only thing she’s missing….is love. After escaping an abusive relationship, she opens her heart up to a stranger. He is unlike any man she’s ever met. He came into her life and turned it completely upside down. Everything is perfect. That is, until one fateful night.
A night that would tear the Watson family apart, never to be put back together again.
A night that would send Xander away to prison for life.
Sexy and intriguing! Those are the first things that come to mind when I think about Into The Nothing! I loved this book, like I want to start over and read it again kind of love! I was hooked from the very beginning and BT Urruela kept me wanting more throughout the entire story.
This book begins with Xander, he is in prison for a crime he did not commit (yeah, we’ve all heard that before) but really, he’s innocent. He’s resigned to his fate in prison though, at least when the story starts. We then go back in time, to how this story really begins, where he meets Paige and her family, where everything that happens at this family vineyard will change his life completely.
I loved the connection between Xander and Paige, they have a fantastic chemistry together even when they are just building a friendship. There is also a great dynamic between Xander and Paige’s family too. Not everything is perfect though, and when Xander stands up to the rough people who think they run the town he makes some quick and dangerous enemies.
Into the Nothing is a very well written, well developed story. These characters felt very real, they certainly aren’t perfect and all have their flaws and that makes them all that more believable There were many times I found myself so engrossed in the story and loving the witty and fun banter between all the characters that I would forget all about how this story began. I found myself getting nervous about what was going to happen and how it would all go down, and I couldn’t put the book down.
BT Urruela truly took me on a ride with this story! I thought I had it all figured out and no way, he surprised me more than once. I LOVED it, every crazy twist and turn! Into the Nothing is a fantastic solo debut from BT Urruela and I am definitely excited for more, I cannot wait to see where this story goes next!
“How about twenty questions?” I ask.
“I hate twenty questions.”
“How about five questions, then?”
He cracks a smile and lifts an eyebrow. “How about three?”
“So, have I mentioned how much I fucking hate Tuesdays?” Brandi’s voice cuts right between us. Xander looks relieved.
Me? Not so much. “Damn it, Brandi!”
“Oh nothing. Can you grab me Fireball though? Pretty please. Two of them.” I look at Xander. “You’re taking one.”
“Three. I am too, bitch! Fuck Tuesdays!” Brandi calls out from across the bar as she begins filling the shot glasses from the Fireball chiller.
“Question one. You said you’ve been traveling for a while now, right? Do you ever get tired of it? Ever feel like settling?”
“Damn. Starting out with the heavy hitters, huh?” He eyes the shot glasses as if hoping it will somehow make them fill faster.
“Need me to go easier on you? Maybe a finger or two first before I go in with the whole fist?”
He looks at me in disbelief. “Did you really just say that?”
“Just answer the question, two fingers or three?”
