4 Stars
Stolen Away is the first book I’ve read in this series but it definitely won’t be the last! This story had a lot of sweetness and heart but also some serious sides as these characters deal with real issues. I totally fell for this group and definitely need more!

Emma has just gotten out of a horribly abusive relationship and is trying to get her life back. Cash is a flirtatious guy who’s known for being a bit of a ladies man but doesn’t actually let anyone in. When these two meet, and there’s a goat involved I might add, there is something special there for both of them.

There are a lot of issues between these two characters, Emma dealing with trying to rebuild after ten painful years and Cash has his own secrets as to why no one gets too close. It doesn’t help that Emma’s ex-husbands brothers won’t leave her alone and are determined to make her life hell. Aside from Cash, she does develop a great set of friends (apparently I need to read the other books to really get to know them.) that are there for her. As things develop between her and Cash and those feelings become more and more there are still many threats to their relationship.

I really enjoyed this story and fell for these characters. They were very real people and felt like they could be friends of mine. I loved Cash and his big heart, even when he was afraid of it! He’s a wonderful man who can see just how special Emma is. And Emma, this sweet, slightly broken girl. She’s impossible not to love and it just gets better as she gets stronger and believes in her strength! This was a sweet story about the power of love! I’m definitely glad I found this group and can’t wait to read more about them!

Running his veterinary practice and raising his daughter are enough to keep him busy, and he doesn’t need a high-maintenance city girl like his ex who plans to sell her grandma’s ranch and split faster than a setting sun.
