After years of trying to hit it big with his band, Adam Rees’ dream is finally about to come true. A new lead singer brings with him a hot tour invite, but with a catch—his sister has to come with them. Despite an off-limits edict, Adam is instantly attracted the smart and beautiful Landry. But if he wants to claim his woman, it might be at the expense of all his ambitions.
Landry Olsen has had success at every stage of her life, except when it comes to men. She’s put her heart on the shelf, but one look at Adam and she’s a goner. The hot rocker heats her from the inside out, and she wants him as much as he wants her. The only thing standing in their way of their happiness is Landry’s brother—she ruined his musical hopes before, and she won’t do it again. Even if it means saying no to the one guy who makes her believe in love again.
There’s no fruit more tempting than the forbidden kind…
You’ve been warned – don’t catch feelings for Adam Rees – well I totally did! All the feels for Adam Rees. He’s got music in his blood and his band FMK finally has a chance to make a name for themselves. They have a new lead singer and great music and five month tour ahead of them. But their new lead singer Davis has a smoking hot sister named Landry who just so happens to have a crazy stalker and Davis isn’t about to leave her alone for a few months to tour. The compromise, bring Landry on tour. The problem, as soon as Adam saw her at their show he knew he wanted her, but she’s a bandmates sister…
Ok, so I’ve admitted that I already have feels for Adam, he’s a rocker and he’s extremely confident but he’s got a softer side, even if it’s rarely seen, especially for Landry. He knew the second he saw her she was for him, but he doesn’t force it and doesn’t act like a jerk. He knows he has to give her time to come around. It’s not easy though and having his POV in the story really adds to the rollercoaster of emotions throughout this story.
Landry is great, she’s a bit of a hot mess at times, but hey, I can totally relate to this girl. Which really, is one of my favorite things about her. She’s that perfectly imperfect girl that you just adore. Despite all the warnings, she totally falls for Adam but tries to fight it to protect her brother and the band.
Overall, I really enjoyed their story and I loved these characters. The whole band is great and they really did feel like a tight group. There is some tension that develops between Davis and Adam that adds some drama to his building relationship with Landry but that just adds to that hidden relationship angst. There were times where I felt like it dragged a bit in terms of storyline, but nothing major. The chemistry is definitely there for these two as well as the hearts and flowers side. I’m definitely an Adam Rees fan and loved the way these two finally got it together, made my heart happy!
