So this is a tough one for me, overall I have enjoyed this series, these characters and this amazing setting and I was really looking forward to the conclusion. But, for some reason I struggled a bit connecting to the characters and their decisions. I wanted to love Brodan and Monroe and there were moments I found myself rooting for them and then I was just meh about everything.
These two have been friends since childhood, have shared a special bond then have a pretty massive falling out and haven’t seen or talked to each other many years later. Monroe is back home to take care of her mother and Brodan is on a much needed break, escaping the crazy of Hollywood. It’s got all the makings for a second chance, redemption story. I had a hard time with the way they treated each other and dealt with their feelings throughout, there are some rough moments and that’s pretty much what stuck with me. I will say that I was happy with the way it all came together for them and with the epilogue, that made my heart happy!
