I hope it’s been a great weekend! I’ve been loving audiobooks lately and had the great privilege of getting to listen to In Another Life & Eight Days by Cardeno C. It’s no lie that Cardeno C is a favorite of mine and I can add these two amazing stories to CC books I love! I am a huge fan of Cardeno C and the stories and characters created. I always fall in love with the characters and they stay with me long after I finish the books, and I have to say that In Another Life and Eight Days certainly fit in to the LOVE category! These were two very touching stories that cut right to the heart, despite being short stories.
The characters in both of these stories are powerful and the stories poignant. In Another Life has a strong feeling of hope and never giving up, that things can be better and worth it. It was a deeply emotional read and I fell hard for Shiloh and Travis just wanting them to have their much deserved happily ever after! In Eight Days, again, the power of true love and the beauty and pain of it. Maccabe and Josh’s journey, the bits we see of it, are stunning and made my heart hurt and happy all at the same time.
I enjoyed these stories immensely and the narration of the audio book seemed to fit perfectly for me. I felt so deeply for the characters and their experiences, getting consumed by their journeys to find true love. Cardeno C can write such powerful love stories and these two definitely lived up to my expectations. As with any time I finish a CC book, I’m looking forward to what is coming next!
