RELEASE BLITZ & 5 STAR REVEIW: HEA: Happily Ever After by Lucy Lennox & Molly Maddox

Oscar finally gets his HEA – but holy hell that is a hard earned HEA! I really loved Oscar and Hugh and together they are just perfection, even if it takes an especially long time for Oscar to come to the understanding that he truly is worthy of love. And I love that Hugh is the one to show him!
I thought this book had a lot of wonderful, highly amusing moments that actually had me giggling mixed with very real and raw moments of vulnerability. It was a great mix of emotions that made it very real and I felt like I really got to know these characters. Oscar may come across as flippant and fun loving, but he’s actually a very guarded man who wants love but doesn’t feel he deserves it. Hugh is the perfect match for him, he is a man who loves romance and love and believes in the HEA with his whole heart. These two may start off with what is supposed to be a hook-up but they can’t stay away from each other and they both discover that they don’t really want to try to stay away.
I truly enjoyed this journey with Oscar, Hugh and of course Frank. Even in the moments that made my heart ache, I loved them so much and just wanted them to find the happiness and love that they deserve. It was definitely an emotional ride though and not always easy but I will say that when it all comes together, when they both finally figure it out *CHEFS KISS* perfection and totally worth it!

. Richard has led a very entitled life but recently has found himself couch surfing after being cut off by his father. He’s presented with an offer to spend a month actually working, on a ranch and if he can do it he’ll get the chance to interview for any job he wants. Boone runs a successful ranch but he’s short-staffed and really needs help, even if it comes in the form of a fancy city boy.
These two are a funny combination at first, absolute opposites but there’s no denying they have a connection. Boone sees the effort Richard is actually putting in and Richard thrives actually applying himself and being appreciated for the work he does. Even if it’s not perfect. The connection between these two grows until they just can’t deny it any longer and a night away camping on the ranch land gives them the perfect opportunity to explore their feelings. And those feelings run deep quickly.
I really liked these two together and found myself rooting for them. They may seem like an unlikely couple from every angle, but they are so great together. I loved seeing Richard gain confidence in who he really is and embrace that around people who appreciate him. And there was also something special about seeing Boone open up and fall for Richard too. Of course it’s not all that easy and these two face some major challenges but it really just shows them what they mean to each other and what they are willing to do to be together. Definitely an entertaining read that made my heart so happy and I totally fell for both Richard and Boone! I’m really looking forward to Oscar now!
